This is Samuel.
He’s four. I had the pleasure of babysitting him for a little while today while his dad went to the evening worship. I can’t go anywhere without babysitting a kid! But that’s okay. 🙂 Here he is, watching Wall-E. Even though he was in his pajamas he refused to take his shoes off and I asked him probably 24,000 times if he had to go potty and he always said no. He slept in a Thomas the Train Engine bed with his “friends”, a bunny and teddy bear. I tucked him in around 8, kissed his forehead, kissed his friends goodnight, and tried to get him to go to sleep. He insisted that I leave the bedroom door all the way open, and when I went to check on him I always saw his cute little eyes peeking over his baby blanket, making sure I was still there. He told me about his mommy and daddy and his new house, and how his mommy was at the house while daddy was here at camp. I asked what his mom looked like, and he said with no hesitation that she looked like me, except with black hair and pretty blue eyes. My twin! When we played Angry Birds, if I looked away, he would take his hand and ever so sweetly put it on my cheek to make sure I was still paying attention.
Oh, my heart.
